Hot off the back of winning the Young British Foodies award for Best Food Experience 2012, Platterform is collaborating with British seafood restaurateurs Bonnie Gull of Bonnie & Wild acclaim, to bring London Bonnie On Sky; a three week seafood supper club in the nation’s capital.
Launching Thursday 5th July, Bonnie On Sky will be a three-week immersive dining experience at the architecturally award-winning Skyroom, a striking rooftop pavilion in London Bridge with breathtaking views of the London skyline.
Offering the freshest, responsibly sourced seafood from Britain’s shores, diners can expect a classic, shellfish-focused menu with an inspired modern twist. Dishes include the delectable Isle of Lewis mussels steamed with Aspall cider and Cumbrian bacon; whole Devon crab with brown meat mayonnaise; and the classic beer battered whiting with chunky chips, mushy peas and handmade tomato ketchup. Dessert promises to be equally irresistible with old favourites like Eton Mess alongside the more innovative Muscat melon soup served with fresh watermelon and summer berries.
True to Platterform’s signature immersive-dining style, Bonnie On Sky also promises creative cocktails and a true sensory feast of design and entertainment. Guests can try light taster seafood snacks from the deckchair lounge, whist peering at London’s impressive landmarks through amusement pier telescopes. Visual art projections will add to this enchanting recreation of the British seaside.
This unique collaboration of two of Britain’s hottest emerging food talents is a bite-sized taste of what’s to come for both brands. Platterform will retain a residency in the Skyroom throughout the remainder of 2012 with a series of exciting collaborations in the pipeline, while Bonnie Gull will be opening their first permanent restaurant, the Bonnie Gull Seafood Shack later this year.
