In anticipation of the imminent cold season and the dreaded second wave of swine flu, Yumchaa tea shop that specialises in loose leaf teas is launching a new tea blend “Chilli Chilli Bang Bang” in a way to combat and prevent any colds throughout the winter season.
Yumchaa’s new blend of tea, as well as tasting good, has been designed to fend off coughs and colds that are inevitable as the weather gets colder. Chilli Chilli Bang Bang is an effective combination of ingredients such as Rooibos Tea, Cinnamon, Red Thistle and Chilli to give you that much needed lift and keep you fit and healthy throughout the winter months.
Chilli Chilli Bang Bang is a Roobios tea – originally from South Africa it contains immune system boosting vitamin C and is high in antioxidants. It has a sweet and slightly nutty taste and does not contain caffeine, perfect more the more health-conscious. Purported to assist with calming nerves, Roobios is traditionally used to alleviate infantile colic, allergies, asthma and dermatological problems. The cinnamon in the Chilli Chilli Bang Bang is renowned for improving circulation within the body as well as creating a warming effect. It eases cold systems and also helps cleanse the body of any viruses. The Red Thistle acts as a “liver tonic” cleansing the body particularly the liver, research has shown that it also has therapeutic qualities in it. The Chilli flakes in the tea clear any type of congestion, boost immunity and give the flavour a good kick!
With all these health benefits, the tea acts as a perfect winter warmer making it the preferred choice over
a hot toddy, especially in the morning!
Yumchaa will be serving Chilli Chilli Bang Bang throughout the winter months at their Soho and Camden Lock Shop. The tea will also be on sale at their new flagship teashop in Camden town which opens mid November. Yumchaa has become the perfect place to meet friends, colleagues as well as take advantage of the free Wifi and the Mills & Boon library (Exclusively Soho).

I just love this Chilli chilli bang bang chai
bought it last year in Camden.
The best winter chai really!
I am amazed.
Hope to get back in London and buy some more,
until then I’ll try to mix some by myself.
Although as I know we don’t have Red Thistle here..
