		<description>THank you for this great programme BCC ,some of the guild lines we already now ,but no harm in repeating them.

I am now trying to cook one meal for the whole family rather than three different meals,I have also taken £70 pounds of my weekly shop ,Its only week one but still sticking to it.

I have really injoyed the tumble down recipes ,epescially the salmon which I found on the web site ,its my husband bithday tonight and we are sitting down as a family with sticky chicken and rice dish ,(would normally gone out to a resturant and blown £70)

Its simple home economics, which unfortunaqtely they dont teach in school anymore.  PS the lamb Navarin recipe this week was stunning...thanks BBC, proper thought provoking TV, hopefully many people will learn from it.</description>

		<description>Now I hope people will believe me when i say its all in the planning  and buying only what is on the list...
I have been doing this for years, apart from the fact that it is much cheaper, I know exactly whats goes in my meals and its just has to be more healthier for us. It takes half an hour each week to plan my weeks meals, I then shop for tinned tomatoes, store cupbpoard ingredients etc, on line, so as not to be tempted to what i see in the aisles..I then shop at the local market for all my fresh meat, fruit and veg, again, cheaper and fresher..isn&#039;t all this time consumming? no, i also work full-time, have a family and we sit down to a meal made from scratch by 6.30pm..(and save ££££&#039;s)
Thank god for this program, maybe others out there will finally get the message</description>

You are, so far, not telling me anything that I don&#039;t know but are, clearly, advising other people of what, to me, seems common sense.  Is this a generational thing?  My mother, and my own experimentation, taught me to cook.  I cook every night and I have passed everything I know onto my 19 year old daughter.  Fish n&#039; chips, pizza, Chinese take away, et al are just SO expensive.  Your mince receipt, for tonight, is a bog standard in my househould. What about pasta, flat leaf parsley, parmesan, olive oil and ground black pepper? Or pasta, toms, shredded chicken, avocado and dressing? Three pence h&#039;penny...so where have things gone so wrong??</description>
