Extra Virgin Peace Oil
A worthy product - Peace Oil. A group of peace seeking Jews, Arabs, Druze and Bedouin produce the oil in the foothills of the Carmel Mountains. All profits go towards supporting peace and reconciliation work in the Middle East.
An initiative of registered UK charity The Charities Advisory Trust, Peace Oil encourages co-operation between communities. By helping to market their produce it hopes to bring economic prosperity to such enterprises, encouraging others to follow their example.
The oil is produced under organic conditions but is still waiting on official certification, which is planned for 2007. The oil can be ordered direct at £9.95 per bottle (single bottle postage is £3.95) or from a seelction of delis such as Villandry and Sally Clarke’s in London and various Card Aid shops.
