Feast on the Bridge is a communal ‘harvest supper’ that reconnects an urban public with natures growing cycle. Head down Southwark Bridge way from noon on Saturday 13 September; the events run through to 10pm.
There will be feasting, dancing and entertainment from 12pm to 10pm with delicious food and entertainment throughout the day. There’s a food ceremony with soup cooked on the bridge from locally grown pumpkins, story-telling, street theatre, harvest activities, music, dancing and a magnificent selection of food from exceptional farmers and producers.
At the north end of the bridge the bandstand will feature acts like the Bohemia Ukulele Band (bluegrass, swing & country with a quirky edge), Bobby Valentino and Los Pistoleros (honkytonk) and Circo Abusivo (gypsy groovers).
Access is via Southwark Bridge Road, from Southwark Street and Sumner Street, NOT via the Riverside Walk.
