French Wine Growers Fair
The first French Wine-Growers’ Fair to be held in the UK will take place from 21 to 23 November 2008 at the Barbican Exhibition Centre in central London. Over 130 authentic and traditional wine-growers from all the French wine-producing regions will present more than 500 wines. The event is open to the public and advance tickets cost just £10, which includes unlimited tasting, as well as the opportunity to purchase at producer prices.
Over the three days of the show, more than 130 traditional wine-growers from across France will present over 500 wines. For just £10 per ticket, visitors will be able to meet the wine-growers, sample an unlimited amount of wine, and purchase wine at producer prices. None of the wines on show at the fair are currently being distributed in the UK, which offers visitors a unique opportunity to buy exclusive wines at unbeatable prices.
There will be a wide choice of over 500 different and new wines, all of which are made by wine-growers using traditional and authentic methods. All of the French wine-producing regions will be represented, with wines from Bordeaux and south-western France, Burgundy, Champagne, the Rhone Valley, Provence, Corsica, Languedoc Roussillon, the Loire Valley and Alsace. There will also be producers of organic wines, as well as British wine-growers based in France. Wine-growers will offer tastings of red, white and rosé wines, as well as sparkling wine, which is ideal to drink during the end-of-year festivities.
For a small admission charge, visitors will be able to taste as many wines as they like during the three-day fair. Visitors will also be able to purchase wines immediately and at producer prices, as is customary in France at such fairs. There will also be special end-of-year offers available.
The French Wine-Growers Fair will be held from 21 to 23 November 2008 at the Barbican Exhibition Centre on Silk Street, in central London (UK). The nearest underground station is Barbican. There are 450 parking spaces available for visitors with cars.
The show will be open on Friday 21 November from 10am to 7pm; on Saturday 22 November from 10am to 7pm; and on Sunday 23 November from 10am to 6pm.
Tickets on the door are £20, but by going onto the website - http://www.frenchwinegrowersfair.com – there is a half-price voucher to download that gives admission for £10 per person, which is pretty good value.

You are welcome to visit.
The French Wine Growers fair intends to be a down to earth opportunity to meet the producers directly.
Given the economic climate, visitors could look at wines within certain price brackets and tour those.
We look forward to seeing you.

This is the same weekend as the (more expensive) Decanter Fine Wine Encounter! Could be interesting to check out both to compare & contrast!
