Hardy’s Amateur Chef of the Year
An Australian Chef, Shane Osborn of Pied a Terre, has launched a £10,000 cooking competition. The aim is to find the ‘hottest culinary talent’.
“We’re looking for someone who isn’t nervous to experiment with ingredients. Serving the righ wine with your food is also really important, so we’ll look at their wine recommendations”
As the competition is sponsored by Hardy’s wines maybe utilising one of their bottlings might be in order?
The top four amateur chefs will be invited to Pied a Terre for a cook-off. The dishes prepared and created will be judged by Shane with the winner receiving a £10,000 kitchen makeover and the runners-up receiving Tesco vouchers to the value of £1,000.

The terms & conditions do say that it’s a matching Hardy’s wine you have to suggest! Probably a good way of bumping up a few sales …
