This Egg certainly is a treat to watch. A Complete masterpiece that has been sculpted to perfection. I just could not have enough of this one and have ordered three more that come in Milk and White Chocolate (http://www.hotelchocolat.co.uk/White-Chocolate-Egg-P450116/) varieties. Hope to keep them till Easter but cannot ensure that I will be able to resist the temptation.

I'm for Belgian chocolate such as Leonidas or Cote d'Or, not Godiva, because I don't like them but I saw last week that Hotel Chocolate has interesting packages at interesting prices for Easter :-)

Andrew, found out a bit more about the egg...it's a Limited Edition version, is called the Golden No5 Nougatine Egg and is priced at a mind-boggling £125! However, for you discerning foodies out there looking for a slightly more affordable Easter Egg,Godiva also has its No3 Nougatine Egg which weighs 945g, is filled with 36 chocolates and is priced at £62.00. Godiva's website, www.godiva.be, has all the information needed, as well as pictures to make you salivate! Happy Easter everyone...

Hi there,

I saw your entry titled "In Search of The Best Easter Egg"
and thought the following could be of interest.

I walked into Selfridges' Food Hall on Saturday and saw an amazing
and quite unbelievable Easter egg by Belgian Chocolatier Godiva. After
having harassed the shop assistant to give me some more details, it
apparently weighs 2.4KG, is made up of 6 different shells and is filled
with a miniature version of what seems like Godiva's entire range of
Easter goodies. It really needs to be seen (and tasted) to be believed as, not only is
it huge, it is also beautiful to look at and scrumptious to eat!

Love the blog, keep up the good work!

I sampled this one too - and can confirm it's delicious. The extra thick shell is so delicious that I ate it in just over one day though!

I like to go for the very big eggs with the extra thick shell. The ones about the size of a rugby ball and take a week to get through.

Not just your fruit and nut egg. Each egg is dipped in the finest chocolate and weighs around a 1/2lb each. Name your flavor. These can be found at Wishes Etc. in
