Lancashire Food Festival
It is the tenth anniversary of the Lancashire Food Festival and they have pulled out all the stops to make the 2 day event something special. Accrington is the host town, if you are in the vacinity it should be a great weekend, running, as it does, on the 21st and 22nd April.
The town hall holds the Food Hall & Food Marque with a “wonderful array of food and drink to sample and buy”, there will be cookery demonstrations with chef Philippa James who will be cooking up a storm using a variety of local produce. No specific details on when or who is hosting the tutored wine tasting sessions but it is sure to be popular.
There will also be street Entertainments and music & dancing and a Tea-Room for a well earned rest.

I went last year and would recommend going on the Saturday rather than the Sunday. Also, parking in Accrington is a bit tricky so you might be better off catching the train.
