They supply the food halls of Fortnums, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols and have impressed the food writers at the Telegraph but the Metfield Bakery in Norfolk is not totally ‘exclusive’ - they have a website!
Bread (just a small range listed, those that keep well), cakes (eg Lardy Cake, Seasonal Fruit Frangipan, Tunisian Lemon and Orange Cake each serve 12 for £15), pies (including jelly free small pork pies) and savoury tarts (Cromer Crab And Samphire for example) form the basis of the produce available.
Eighteen recipes are listed ranging from Summer Rabbit Stew, Hot Water Pastry, Country Pork Terrine and Norfolk Stew with Herby Dumplings.
