Orchid Liqueurs
The style bible that is Vogue have honoured the range of Orchid Liqueurs with a ‘What’s hot for 2007′ accolade. The vodka based drinks, each containing 30% real, quality, fruit, are encased in distinctive specially designed bottles.
There are four in the range - Mango, Lychee, Guava and Passion Fruit. Each are £17.79 and available from The Drink Shop. The producers aim is to create a liqueur without the sickly, syrupy sweetness that you often find in cheaper versions. Their culinary uses therefore are as diverse as the cocktail/drinking opportunities.
Orchid Liqueurs are incredibly versatile and are delicious served simply on ice. Using Orchid Liqueurs in a host of classic cocktails will raise the flavour to a level that has quite simply never been possible. Simply add to champagne or sparkling wine to create a delicious Bellini, or lengthen the liqueurs with lemonade or soda and ice. They also blend perfectly with fruit juices, and will have your guests wondering how you made such an intricate tasting cocktail.
