PieMinister

PieMinisterThe covered market in Oxford is a great little place for the food lover - I loose count of how many butchers there are in the small space. One other must visit establishement is PieMinister. Their Oxford store is one of five shops (the others being in Hanley, Stonehenge (which seems an odd choice) and two in Bristol. Stalls are also operated in Borough Market and Bristol Markets.

You can also buy online.

So such tasty delights as Minty Lamb, Chicken of Aragon, Thai Chock and others are available to all. Each is around £3.50 or so each. Regular specials feature too - Poussin Boots and Mamma Calzone for example. I bet the marketing meetings are a hoot thinking up the puns.

Minimum purchase is 12 pies which arrive within 4 working days in special temperature control box. The pies can all be frozen.

love your pies

The attitude of the girl who served us was extremely bad. My friend and I were completely shocked. My order cost 5.75 and I gave the girl a 20 pound note. She gave me 14 pound back. When I politely asked her the price again, she did not look at me at all and only replied, “I don’t remember”. After 5 minutes, she came over to our desk and gave me my receipt, which clearly showed that she did not give me enough change back. Yet she did not apologize and just walk off.

I will not go back to the place again and I will make sure everyone in my department knows about this.

An unfortunate incident indeed Wendy but not one to tarnish the whole company with I am sure, or a critic of the quality of their products. I assume you complained to the manager?

Ive just started selling these in my pub in clifton and they are absolutely fantastic.
dear wendy, i hate it when that sort of thing happens. The service industry is rife with slackness. You should get her fired and then go back for a scrummy pie ;-)
