Rick Stein’s Chalky Has Died
Rick Stein’s four-legged sidekick, Chalky, has died at 17.
The Jack Russell, who has a dedicated section of the chefs website, appeared in several of the chef’s TV programs including Food Heroes. Stein said Chalky, who died on Saturday, was ‘loved by everyone’.

by Jan Pocock Chalky will be sadly missed. He was as much a part of the programme as Rick Stein himself. I just loved his Christmas outfit back in December. Rick Stein must feel quite empty inside, but hopefully he will get another who will aspire also, to being a ’star’.
I am very sorry to hear this. A Big fan of Rick & Chalky on the TV, he will be missed.
