Kensington based Sea Island Coffee have set themselves a mission to search “far and wide” for unusual and extraordinary coffees.
These coffees are very rare and exotic, are produced in an artisan way, have attractive stories and, above all, are produced in very limited quantities – in other words, they are unique.
The reason that we decided to go ahead with this new concept of EXOTIC COFFEES is because we felt that there is a segment of the market that is always looking for different “coffee experiences” beyond the conventional and common origins such as Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Brazil and Kenya, among others.
Take the Greenwell Estate Hawaii Kona Private Reserve Coffee – sourced from the Greenwell Estate with a history dating back to 1850 when Henry Nicholas Greenwell left England and first set foot on the fertile soil of rural Kona. His descendent’s still grow coffee on 60 hectares (150 acres) of the most productive land in the Kona District. You can really detect touches of red wine and spices on the smooth, medium bodied brew.
