Bolney Wine Estate Hosted Dinner

bolney wine estateVinopolis, London’s premier taste experience, is inviting food and wine fans to come and enjoy some of the UK’s best wines at a special Bolney Wine Estate Hosted Dinner on 12th June 2012. Held at Vinopolis’ award-winning Cantina restaurant, guests will be able to enjoy a delicious three course meal paired with three top-quality English wines in an evening hosted by Stuart Barford from the Bolney Wine Estate in West Sussex.

To complement the fabulous range of English wines, Vinopolis has lined up a classic menu for the evening with guests being able to enjoy a mouth-watering Tian of Dressed Crayfish and Avocado paired with Avocado Oil, followed by a choice of either Rump of Lamb served with Dauphinois Potatoes, Spinach, Baby Veg and Red Wine Jus, or Aubergine Tortellini with Parsley Butter sauce, Rocket and Parmesan Cheese Salad, and finished with a delicious Blueberry Cheesecake with Mixed Berry Compote. Each course will be paired with a specially selected Bolney Estate wines as chosen by Stuart Barford.

Tickets are priced at £39 per head and the event runs from 7 pm ‘til late.

Established in 1972, the Bolney Wine Estate is a family-run winery in Bolney, West Sussex with a strong heritage of making quality wines, consistently winning awards in international wine competitions. One of the UK’s few specialist red wine producers, the Bolney Wine Estate lies in an unrivalled position near the South Downs and also produces batches of rose, red and white sparkling wines, alongside others. The Bolney Wine Estate recently won the Gold Outstanding Award at the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) for its Blanc de Blancs 2007, beating out all other champagnes and sparkling wines.

Vinopolis Chocolate and Wine Tasting

chocoliciousAs part of an ongoing campaign to champion the best British producers, London’s premium wine and food tasting experience, Vinopolis, is offering the ultimate treat for chocolate lovers.

Vinopolis has teamed up with artisan chocolatier, So Chocolicious, for special chocolate and wine tasting sessions on the wine tour on Saturday 5 May. Visitors to the tour can join So Chocolicious’ founder, Hayleigh Bazelya, to sample a selection of devilish handmade treats complimented by wine paired by Senior Wine Expert (and self-confessed chocoholic), Melanie Reeve.

Indulge in delicious White Chocolate and Hazelnut Truffles paired with Lourensford Chardonnay 2010 or Blackberry and Cinnamon Dark Chocolate Truffles paired with Bonterra Merlot 2009 before enjoying tastings of wine, spirits and beer from around the world.

Vinopolis wine tour packages start from £22.50 per person and include a 15 minute ‘how to taste wine session’ as well as a Bombay Sapphire cocktail and a tasting notebook for each guest.

Vinopolis Halloween Ball

halloween at_vinopolisIf you’re after a ghostly encounter with spirits guaranteed, head to leading attraction Vinopolis this spine-tingling Halloween weekend.

With a Halloween themed Bombay Sapphire cocktail with a twist, and two Absinthe tastings on the menu, the annual Grand Ball spook-fest will warm your insides before chilling you to the bone!

Come dressed to kill in your scariest attire and soak up the atmosphere in one of the capital’s most eerie yet stunning locations – deep beneath a Victorian viaduct at the illustrious London Bridge.

Included in the terrifying night is the opportunity to be photographed on the ‘black’ carpet, or dare to be snapped in the haunted black cab booth complete with ghostly chauffeur.

For an extra shot of Dutch courage, party-goers can enjoy four regular wine tastings and two beer tastings, along with a special serving of hearty Toad in the ‘Ole.
