The Cornwall Wine Fair February 17th & 18th 2009

The 2009 Cornwall Wine Fair is being held at one of the region’s premier venues The China Fleet Country Club on Tuesday and Wednesday February 17th and 18th. Just ten minutes from Plymouth overlooking the Tamar the club offers visitors a spectacular location and ample free parking. Taking Centre Stage at this year’s event are some of the leading winemakers and growers from around the world and Castang Wine Shippers will be giving some expert advice on how to match wine and food.

Expert wine makers will be on hand including Pierre Liebeau Muscadet grower, Jean Luc Blanchard producer of Sancerre and other Loire valley wines; Ricardo Andujar, supplier of Rioja and Navarra wines; Michel Berthet-Rayne from Cotes du Rhone and Chateauneuf du Pape; Gerrita Martin from Cave de Sigoules in Bergerac, and Jean Pascal Beylier from Les Vignerons Ardechois. The fair is a key event with hoteliers and restaurateurs who use the tasting experience to help prepare their own wine lists. It is also a great opportunity for private clients to source new delights and fill their cellars and wine racks, and for corporate clients to make their business selections.

    Thats great – I’m from Cornwall originally and remember having a few sparkling wines from the Camelford Valley. Glad to see the area is getting further exposure.
