The London Pie Festival
Hot on the heals of a worldwide blog event celebrating pies - read the great round-up of recipes on Cooksister - I have caught wind (no missus, not due to a surfeit of pies!) of a London Pie Festival.
Scheduled for September 2007 (according to here) or sometime in 2008 (according to here) the London Pie Festival is a celebration of all
manner of pies - sweet and savoury, pastry-based, mashed-potato topped, even samosas and spanaokpitas. There would be stalls from artisan pie makers, pie tasting, pie throwing competitions, pastry-making demonstrations, and many other pie-related activities”.
No further details as yet but it could be a superb event.
