Waitrose Premium
Waitrose is set to open its first ‘premium’ store in London in around two weeks.
The store on Marylebone High Street is to specialise in ethical and organic produce - the first store to challenge the newly opened Whole Foods store in Kensington. They plan to open 183 new stores in the format in comparison to the 40 Whole Food Stores palnned across the UK. The new Waitrose concept will have a new layout and look.
Waitrose MD Mark Price said “We feel our customers are willing to pay more for better food”.
