Not made it to the new Whole Foods Store in Kensington yet? Me neither. I thought I would let them ‘bed-down’ first before treking up to London.

The press frenzy continues though. The Telegraph has a short report on the ‘press opening’ and conclude that

“for all the niggles, we need Whole Foods to succeed. It’ll raise the game for all the retailers, because it’s not just about righteous food priggery. The Whole Foods Market on High Street Ken is gorgeous, like Harrods with a conscience. A beautiful shop for beautiful people. And there’s free internet access. What more could you want?

More interesting is a short video clip of the store on ‘Telegraph TV’. It opens with an outside shot of the store with a white market stall barrow heaving with produce, leads the camera through the wine section (but doesn’t stop) on to the cheese section (“bigger than most peoples living room”) and concludes at the restaurants upstairs.

“The Fortnum and Masons for the 21st Century”

Xantha Clay the Telegraph’s Food Writer introduces the 2 minute 23 second clip.
