Local food producers and suppliers are invited to step up to the plate and take part in the 2nd Alcester and Forest of Arden Food Festival to be held on Saturday May 21st. Over fifty of the region’s top fine food companies have already booked but there are still a few places available.
This year’s event looks to be larger and as successful, if not more so, than last year. The High Street in Alcester will be the venue for the Festival. The fine food companies that you enjoyed last year are returning. Stalls are open 9am to 5pm.
The Food Festival is supported by supermarket giant Waitrose, Stratford upon Avon District Council, Alcester Town Council, Alcester Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Dudley Coaches and Warwickshire County Council..
All the shops will be contributing too; the cafés will be on the pavements; pubs will be thronged and our exhibitors will be giving it their all. Everything will be local. There will be cheeses, pies, breads, cakes, fresh and cured meats and sausages, fruit and vegetables, a pig roast and ox roast, handmade chocolates, local beers and wines and as many local food products as we can squeeze on to the stalls.
Parking will be free in the local car parks for the day and there will be a special Central Information Stand on the High Street to give help, advice, deal with problems and reunite separated families. New this year is a free Park and Ride running all day between the Moat House on the A435 and the town centre.
