Just Lift the Lid and let Christmas Out!
Mousse au Chocolat – dark chocolate with a smooth creamy ganache – has got to be my favourite although the Cranberry and Apple has a seasonal fruitiness that was rather delicious. Then again the Red Berry Mousse was light and fruity too, so that has to be the favourite. Although I’ve just relished the Mulled Wine chocolate with its splash of port adding to the cinnamon, clove and orange… oh, but then the Rum Ingot using golden rum from Saint Lucia was superbly intense. But last week the Gingerbread Truffle was stonkingly good… but was the Champagne Star, all white chocolate and cream ganache with a dash of marc de champagne better? Just possibly. Not forgetting the Milk Liquid Caramels with their oozingly soft caramel that didn’t last very long at all, neither did those superb Florentine Dreams… and that still leaves several in the box not even sampled yet… which IS the favourite?
