Tapas Fantasticas 2010

Free Spanish food and wine festival, Tapas Fantasticas, returns to London for three days from Friday 25th - Sunday 27th June, 12:00 – 18:00 (20:00 on Friday).

Summer officially begins in London as Tapas Fantasticas returns to the city, courtesy of Wines from Rioja. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a new, central location plus an extra day of festival fun!

Come and taste a spectacular variety of red, white and rosé wines from some of Rioja’s most famous vineyards as you make your way around the vibrant wine and tapas stalls. Savour a diverse selection of tapas from both London’s finest Spanish restaurants and tapas chefs from the home of Rioja, who will be flying in for the weekend to cook up a taste of Spain.

There will be plenty to entertain – enjoy live Spanish music, cookery and wine tasting demos, children’s activities and an unforgettable eating and drinking experience. Purchase your wine glass on entry and receive four tokens which can be exchanged for samples of top class Rioja wines. Buy tickets for the wine tasting seminars with wine experts Olly Smith and Susy Atkins to learn more about Rioja and discover what tickles your taste buds. Indian Tapas in Gateshead

Raval luxury restaurant and bar situated on the prestigious Gateshead Quays has introduced a new menu inspired by the informal street eateries of Mumbai, where friends and family can indulge in fun and exciting food.

Ravals Indian tapas menu is going back to basics and is swapping a knife and fork for fingers and bread.

The menu began on the 29th April. This new level of casual dining can be enjoyed between the hours of 5-30 – 7pm Monday to Saturday. After 7pm the main al a carte menu will be served, offering a mouth watering selection of luxurious dishes. All food at Raval is freshly prepared using authentic Indian spices together with local produce.

Manager of Raval, Mr Kash, said,

“We believe food tastes even better when eaten with friends and family and Raval provides the perfect setting to sit back and unwind with Indian Tapas, a cocktail or a glass of wine:

“All of our dishes are light, healthy and bursting with flavour. The cuisine is skilfully prepared to give a unique food sensation with spices that compliment the food without overpowering the pallet. We recommend sampling as many dishes as possible.”

Ravals Indian Tapas menu includes an assortment of speciality dishes, which includes lamb, chicken, fish, vegetables and rice. They have all been expertly prepared by a team of experienced chefs who have worked for some of India’s most prestigious establishments.
