Chocolate flavoured with Marmite? Yes indeed. I’ve given samples to a wide range of friends and, except one Marmite-hater who wouldn’t even touch it (“Oh, good grief I can smell it from here!”) all those who tried a chunk were in agreement - it is actually quite nice!
Under the brand Very Peculiar Milk Chocolate Bar By Marmite, the product will be stocked in retail chains such as BHS, Debenhams and Robert Dyas from 4 October. The 100g bar blends creamy milk chocolate “with a hint of the yeasty spread”, says the company. It has suggested retail price of £3.
I did have one chunk that had more than a ‘hint’ of Marmite, much more! Strong aint the word…
The online Marmite store is offering, while stocks last, a free bar of the Very Peculiar with all purchases over £25.

1Ah, this is the one they produced after Paul A Young produced (a far superior) Marmite chocolate bar. Would recommend you try his, if available.

2I came on to make exactly the same comment as Kavey, who got here first.
I loved the Paul Young marmite and choc mix. I cannot imagine why they have made a milk chocolate rather than plain chocolate bar? I know I am biased against milk chocolate but the thought it it and marmite is quite unsettling.
