The France Show 2010

Think wine, think France – and with The France Show coming to London’s Earl’s Court between 8-10 January 2010, you won’t even have to cross the Channel for a tasting. Taste of Christmas, the wintertime sibling of the sell-out summer show, Taste of London, is the first truly Christmassy event of the season. It returns to London’s ExCel, for three full days of indulgent eating, drinking and shopping.

Masterchef Live 2009

They have changed the name. The BBC Goodfood Show is now known as Masterchef Live and is in London Olympia from the 13th-15th November.

and is looking set to be one of the best foodie days out in the country! It will feature all of the BBC Good Food Show favourites such as the:

Coxon Cookery Demos on Easter Day

A real life Indiana Jones of the culinary world takes to the Chester celebrity kitchen stage to give cookery demonstrations at this year’s Taste Festival.

Alan Coxon, who delighted the audience at last year’s Festival, is back by popular demand to entertain the crowds at the Taste Festival at Chester Racecourse this Easter. Alan’s expertise and charisma saw him positioned amongst the top 10 TV chefs in the world in a recent BBC viewer poll across 100 countries.

Alan traces the archaeology of food and has created his own Historic Food range, including Historic Vinaigres which explore tastes and flavours that once adorned the tables of Roman Emperors, the Ancient Greeks and Medieval Knights.

In the lead up to the Food and Drink Festival, there are events in and around the city, including Alice in Wonderland, the Great Easter Egg Hunt and a Beer Festival at Boughton Hall Cricket Club from April 9 to 11. The popular Cocktail Competition will also return at new venue Cruise nightclub, St. John Street, Chester, on April 7, where the city’s finest bartenders will shake up the crowd with smooth talking and strong liqueurs.

There will be more than 80 food producers at the Taste Festival and cooking demonstrations featuring Simon Rimmer on Saturday April 11 and Andrew Nutter on Monday April 13. Tickets are £6 for adults and children under 12 are free. Parking is also free for all visitors to the event at the Racecourse.
