New Vaseline Lip Therapy Marmite

Following over a decade of in-depth research, it was clear the ‘yeast extract’ lip care market was not being catered for. So the lip experts at Vaseline and flavour junkies at Marmite have finally joined forces to create a mouthwatering new flavour.

Like Batman and Robin, cheese and pineapple, and, erm, Jedward….this is the partnership everyone’s been waiting for. Guaranteeing healthy looking lips and protection from the elements, Vaseline Lip Therapy Marmite is also rich in B vitamins and 100% vegetarian.

More information on the limited edition Vaseline Lip Therapy Marmite (RRP £1.99) will be available from 1st April exclusively on facebook.com/Vaseline.

Lauren Brooking, Vaseline Brand Manager said: “I am delighted to welcome Marmite to the UK’s much loved Vaseline Lip Therapy range. Love it or hate it I think the distinctive partnership will bring many benefits to lip balm users. Try it – you never know, you might just like it?”

David Titman, Marmite Brand Manager said: “We’re honoured to be helping the nation enjoy soft lips and Marmite kisses, however, we take no responsibility for the breakdown of relationships following the purchase of this product.”

Love it or hate it? You decide.

Chocolate Marmite

Chocolate flavoured with Marmite? Yes indeed. I’ve given samples to a wide range of friends and, except one Marmite-hater who wouldn’t even touch it (“Oh, good grief I can smell it from here!”) all those who tried a chunk were in agreement - it is actually quite nice!

Under the brand Very Peculiar Milk Chocolate Bar By Marmite, the product will be stocked in retail chains such as BHS, Debenhams and Robert Dyas from 4 October. The 100g bar blends creamy milk chocolate “with a hint of the yeasty spread”, says the company. It has suggested retail price of £3.

I did have one chunk that had more than a ‘hint’ of Marmite, much more! Strong aint the word…

The online Marmite store is offering, while stocks last, a free bar of the Very Peculiar with all purchases over £25.

Marmite Pop-Up Shop

Champagne Valentines MarmiteThe first Marmite Pop-Up shop is about to open in London’s Regent Street (in the Quadrant Arcade).

The shop will be open for two months and sell over 100 different Marmite-themed products, ranging from t-shirts to tableware, artwork to aprons, stationary to Marmite snacks and even a Vegemite vs. Marmite taste-off!

There should be an oppotunity to sample the new Marmite cereal bar. As a keen Marmite lover (have you still got your lovers jar?!), this may well be right up your street!

It’s the world’s first cereal bar, so it’s definitely going to be something you can’t get enough of or throw straight in the bin!

The Marmite breakfast bar is the first significant product launch by any company to introduce a savoury product to this sector. The product is the latest extension of the Marmite brand into the healthy snacking market and joins the Marmite-flavoured rice cakes and breadsticks launched in 2007.

It wont have you stumped on what to put on your toast… bowl along to your local supermarket… pad out your shopping basket… don’t be a silly mid-off… etc etc
